“Go green! Contest”

To be eligible for a chance to win an OPUS card charged with a CAM package, the participants must register on the STM contest page hosted on canadiens.com.  This contest is open to Montreal island residents only, ages 12 and older. Employees of Le Club de hockey Canadien Inc., Société de transport de Montréal (the "Sponsor") or their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, representatives, agents, advertising agencies, promotional partners or any-other sponsor and the members of the immediate families or those persons living in the same household of such abovementioned individuals are ineligible to enter or win.


No purchase necessary.  This contest will start on November 1st, 2011 and will end on April 30th, 2012. In order to be eligible, online entry forms and letter entries must be received by the contest organizer before 11:59 pm (EST) on the last day of every month (November, December, January, February, March and April). To become a participant, visit canadiens.com and complete the appropriate form for this contest. Draws will be held-on each first Monday of  every month (December 5, January 2, February 6, March 5, April 2 and May 7), for a total of six (6) draws.

There will be three (3) winners randomly selected for each draw. Winners will be selected from all eligible entries received during the previous month. In order to participate, entrants must provide their name, address (number, street, city, and postal code), phone number, birth date and email address.  In order to win the Prize, entrants must complete all entry form fields. Le Club de hockey Canadien Inc. and Société de transport de Montréal are not responsible for entries that are late, lost, have insufficient postage or incomplete. All entries for the Contest will be attributed to the Contest and will not be saved for any future contest.

Only one entry per person per day is allowed. By registering to the Contest, participants agree to have their name, residence and picture made known without any compensation or warning, for publicity, advertising, marketing or informational purposes in any media, format (including Internet) in relation with the Contest or similar contests occurring in the future and to sign any relevant document with regards to this commitment or that is considered necessary by le Club de hockey Canadien Inc. or the Sponsor. The participants agree to respect all the contest rules. Moreover, the winners must conform to all instructions given by the event managers; refusal to do so will result in the cancellation of the member’s participation.


A total of 21 OPUS card will be awarded in Quebec for a total value of 1309.50$.
One (1) OPUS card is valued at 72.75$.

The Prize will be subject to all standards Société de transport de Montréal obligations, rules, policies and contractual requirements and the winner must comply with all the terms and conditions. The Sponsor reserves the right, subject to approval from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, to substitute the Prize with another price of equivalent or greater value for any reason including, but not limited to: production delays or other unforeseen events, or any other reasons.  The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, and is not redeemable for cash. The Prize may not be exactly as shown in contest publicity or promotional materials.


The odds of winning the Prize depend on the number of eligible online entry forms and letter entries received on or before the Closing Date of the Contest. In order to be declared the winner of the Prize, the selected entrant must first correctly answer an unaided time limited mathematical skill-testing question. 
The winner should allow 1-2 weeks for the delivery of the Prize once draw has been held. The winner will be contacted by telephone the day of the draw. In the case that the winner is not available within 48hrs following the first call, another winner will be selected at random and so on, until someone is declared the winner. Le Club de hockey Canadien Inc. and the Sponsor cannot be held responsible for being unable to reach the winner.


The participants agree to conform to the official Rules of the Contest and to the decision of Le Club de hockey Canadien Inc. and the Sponsor which are final on all matters regarding the Contest.


Before being declared a winner, selected entrant(s) may be required to sign a Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules and a Release of Liability, releasing Le Club de hockey Canadien Inc., the Sponsor, their respective advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, subsidiaries, affiliates and associated companies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with this Contest or the Prize. The Released Parties are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest. The Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, tampering, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of entries. The Released Parties are not responsible for any problems, viruses or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Contest.

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
