Most Memorable Moments Against The Islanders
Racicot won't budge

On March 10, 1993, head coach Jacques Demers gave Patrick Roy a rare night off, appointing backup, Andre Racicot, to start between the pipes against the New York Islanders. Racicot would make the most of his time in the spotlight, standing tall to turn aside 23 shots in the second frame, tying a team record for most saves in a single period. The Rouyn-Noranda native helped his team win the tilt 5-1, stopping 42 of the Isles’ 43 shots on the night.
