Three for thirty
As any NHL player will probably tell you, lighting the lamp 30 times in the course of a single campaign isn’t the easiest of feats to accomplish. Managing to do it in consecutive seasons is all the more rare. With only one game left to play in the 2006-07 regular season, Montreal's Michael Ryder was still three goals away from earning that distinction. Coming up big when it counted, Ryder lit up the April 7, 2007 match-up against the Leafs with his second career hat trick to crack the 30-goal mark for the second straight year.
